You don't need a lot of people to rescue a pilot, just fly in with a helicopter to pick him up and another 1-2 combat helicopters for support, as you know exact location.

Go wonder how many were "rescued" horizontal...

It's only 20km or miles over a mountain to Isfahan nuclear site. Why did the other pilot get rescued 200km away from that airfield, both pilots eject together, they can't be separated by 100s of kms. The f15 was sent in to suppress air defence for this mission on. Isfahan and got shot down, they tried the raid anyway and got caught.

US AND ISRAELI CASUALTIES are extensive but Trump did not request approval from Congress to conduct the Iran war now extended to ( S. Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Israel). If Trump show USA how many casualties there are, MAGA would hang him. Let alone everyone else.

Talked with my relatives a weeks ago about it and told them that this "rescue mission" was probably a failed invasion and the "rescue" was just pretext, because it didn't make sense to waste so many resources to save one pilot. Glad to see Brian confim my suspicion.

Rangers have been practicing these seizure missions using C130s with Little Birds supported by AC130s since September 1981. Do a news search and you will find an article of a C130 crash in the desert of Indian Springs, Nevada which killed 7 Rangers. They were practicing this very type mission. My brother was a Ranger on that plane. He survived. The Delta operators in the Little Birds did not and neither did many others
